By booking or using a Cellproof test you agree to the terms below.

1. The service
We offer two EV battery tests:
Cellproof SWIFT reads the data of the car's battery system and checks cell balance, sensors, system status and usage records. SWIFT does not measure battery capacity. The health figure on a SWIFT certificate is the value the car itself reports.
Cellproof DEEP measures the battery's usable capacity over one complete AC charge and compares it with the value the car reports.

2. What we need from you before the test
DEEP
- The car's charge level must be below about 30% when the test starts
- During the test the car must charge to 100% on AC charging equipment
- The charge limit must be set to 100%, and scheduled charging must be off
- During the test, do not use the car, do not turn on the climate control remotely, and do not use a Supercharger
- AC charging equipment must be available for the whole night
Both tests
- You must be the owner, or have the owner's consent
- You must provide a safe place where the test can be carried out
3. Equipment and safety
Our data logger is set to read only. It sends no commands to the car and changes no settings.
Connecting it may require removing and refitting interior trim. We work carefully.
4. When a test cannot be completed, or the result is incomplete
If a test cannot be completed, or its result is not reliable enough, because:
- Section 2 was not followed (for example the car was not charged to 100%, or was used during the test)
- The charging equipment failed or could not be used
- The car's own systems malfunctioned
We will arrange a repeat test with you. Where the cause was on the client's side, the repeat test may be charged for, and we will tell you the amount beforehand. Where the cause was our equipment or our work, the repeat test is free.
5. Changing or cancelling a booking
- Cancelling or rescheduling more than 24 hours before the test is free
- If you cancel within 24 hours of the test, or the test cannot go ahead once we arrive, a call-out fee may be charged. We will tell you the amount when you book
- None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act
6. Certificates and reports
- A certificate reflects the state of the battery on the day of the test
- A certificate is valid for 6 months from the test date. After that it can still be looked up, and it is marked as expired
- A certificate is bound to the VIN, not to the owner, and can still be looked up after a change of owner
- Whether a certificate is public is the client's decision
- Do not alter a certificate without our consent. An altered certificate does not represent our test result
7. What we do not guarantee
- A certificate is not a guarantee of future battery life, range or performance
- A certificate does not replace the manufacturer's warranty assessment and does not speak for the manufacturer
- Range is an estimate worked out from the measured result. Real range varies with driving style, temperature and road
- SWIFT does not measure capacity and cannot replace DEEP
- We provide measurement results. We give no buying or selling advice
8. Liability
We are responsible for damage to the car or to property caused by our intent or negligence during a test, and we are liable for it as the law provides.
We are not responsible for:
- Faults, damage or abnormalities that were in the car before the test
- Loss arising from a third party using a test result to make a buying or selling decision
- Problems arising because the client did not follow section 2
Nothing in this section excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
9. Independence
We take no part in vehicle sales, and we take no referral fees, kickbacks or sales commission from dealers. A result does not change because the client is a buyer, a seller or a dealer.
10. Payment
- Prices are as published on the website, unless agreed otherwise
- The method and timing of payment are as explained when you book
- We issue invoices as the law requires
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms and will announce changes on the website. A test already booked is governed by the terms in force when it was booked.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The parties agree to try to settle any dispute by negotiation first. If that fails, the Taiwan Taipei District Court is the court of first instance, unless the law provides otherwise.
This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Chinese version, the Chinese version prevails.
